NDLMRA at Stanton Knife River DaysWondering what it'll cost to get into Lawn Mower Racing? You can start without a dime if you have a spare riding mower sitting around. Simply remove the blades and make sure the kill switch works, that's all it takes to run the stock class. For a few hundred bucks, you can build a race ready IMOW. The prepared classes can set you back a couple grand if you want to run competitively, but that's dependent upon how much you want to build and how much you want to buy. Realisitically you can get by with as little invested as 5 - 6 hundred dollars here as well, if you have enough mechanical and fabrication experience. Most farmers do!

When you get all the way up to the Big Dogs, the BP and FX classes things start getting a little spendy, but even there you can compete with anyone in the nation for around $4,000. Compare that to what most stock car drivers have invested, and you'll find that most of them spend more on their motor alone, than we spend on an entire mowchine, and that's just to make their car competitive on a local level! Join the NDLMRA today!!
