International Mow Down at the Peace Gardens!
On August 5th. 2007 the US Lawn Mower Racing Association will sanction the International Mow Down at International Peace Gardens. Located on the US/Canadian Border between Dunseith, ND and Boissevain, Manitoba.
The International Peace Gardens is the perfect setting for the International Mow Down...
- It is the "International" Peace Garden, established in 1932 to promote World Peace.
- It is a botanical garden... Lawn Mowers racing in a Botanical Garden couldn't be more befitting!
- It's a beautiful setting folks! Unlike any you'll race anywhere else in the country!!
In conjunction with the International Mow Down, the International Peace Gardens hosts an Antique Car Show with classics from the past shown from both the US and Canada.
Entry to the Peace Gardens is $10 per VEHICLE, and allows access not only to the races but also to the Antique Car Show, and all of the Peace Gardens' beautiful facilities. This is one race you definitely don't want to miss, and one trip where the wife and kids should definitely join you!
The Peace Gardens has a fantastic campground where you can pitch a tent, or if you prefer a little more comfort, bring the motor home. There are a full range of facilities with water, electricity, cement pad, and a dump station. For more information on the Peace Gardens and the camping facilities see the International Peace Gardens website.
